It was awesome and all 144 golfers remained for the BBQ which we had to replenish 3 times!
We think we netted about $150,000.
When Bob Malte, CEO Exempla Lutheran Medical Center, title sponsor addressed the audience, he surprised us and said "Amy and Dan, you can count on us to be title sponsor again next year".
Matt Knoedler attended and addressed the group speaking to changes to the GDL law and expressing appreciation for everyone that supported CCF/A@25 and the commitment to the safety of our young drivers, and everyone on our roads.
Suzanne Craig-McLeod's speech was very touching. Then she surprised me and presented me with this HUGE Peace Lilly because her daughter's name,Caitlyn, means Lilly! We had the crashed car exhibit there and it shocked a couple of people including Mike Coad, whose son Evan, was a survivor. Mike hadn't seen the car since the crash so he was pretty tore up but SO appreciate of the work of CCF and the tournament splitting proceeds with us.
Rebecca Ellsworth and Suzanne Craig-McLeod both volunteered at the tournament by monitoring the hole in one contest.
We also had volunteers from the GAP store at Southwest Plaza where Rebecca works and lots of staff form Wells Fargo Bank and Colorado Credit Union. And of course, myself, Dan Ferguson and Dick Taylor.
In addition to telling the group about how funds would be donated to CCF/A@25, we talked about the other great things that KCRF does and it was cute, when people from the crowd who are involved in KCR activities raised their hands or stood and shouted the various project the Foundation supports; Don Coufal said Buffalo Days and Rich Arnold yelled out Fall Fest and Dan Ferguson said Odyssey of the Mind, etc.
